Heat Exchange

The heat exchange for high viscous products is very complex. The laminar velocity profile results in poor heat transfer efficiency due to stagnation phases inside the heat exchanger. Hot spots result in poor product quality.

With static mixer the flow is continuously split, stretched, recombined and conveyed.

Forced convection and temperature equalization across mixer are reflected in a rate of heat transfer which is 4 – 10 times higher than in an empty pipe. Additionally these technology allows high throughput capacities with low pressure drop.
